Getting started

Quorum has one API, https://api.quorumcal.com/v1. The dashboard, the CLI and the MCP server all use it. This page gets you from nothing to a working call.

Create an account at quorumcal.com by connecting a Google or Microsoft calendar. Choose a handle; it is the address of your personal page, quorumcal.com/{handle}.

There are two kinds, both created in Settings → Developer:

  • Log in from the CLI. quorum login opens your browser and keeps a short-lived login on this machine. Best for your own use. See the CLI guide.
  • A personal token (qrm_pat_...) for scripts and CI. Choose the scopes it needs, an expiry (up to a year; 90 days by default) and which orgs it may reach. It is shown once. See Tokens and scopes.

Assistants connect with OAuth instead, so you never paste a token: MCP guide.

export QUORUM_TOKEN=qrm_pat_...
curl https://api.quorumcal.com/v1/me \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $QUORUM_TOKEN" \
-H "Quorum-Version: 2026-10-20"
Terminal window
quorum whoami
quorum orgs list
Terminal window
quorum links create --slug intro --title "Intro call" --duration-minutes 30 --timezone America/New_York

It is live at quorumcal.com/{your-handle}/intro. For a team’s link use quorum team links create --org acme --team sales ...; the link is owned by the team and outlives whoever made it.

  • JSON in, JSON out. Errors are {"error": "code", "message": "..."} with the usual status codes: 401 not signed in, 403 signed in but not allowed (insufficient_scope names the scope), 404 not found or not visible to you, 409 conflicts with the current state.
  • Versions. Send Quorum-Version; responses echo the version in force. See Versions.
  • Paging. List operations that page take limit with cursor (or offset); the CLI follows pages with --all.
  • Rate limits. Each credential has its own limit; a 429 says when to retry.
  • The spec. api.quorumcal.com/v1/openapi.json is public; see Typed clients.
